Meals on wheels

Here’s an example of what one walker sent to his friends to support his efforts.  This individual has raised over $5,000 for meals at the Soup Kitchen through his participation in the Turkey Trot ...

Dear Friends,

Annie & I are very fortunate that our kids have everything in life they need: good schools, a nice home and many opportunities.

Not everyone is as fortunate as we are.  Some parents struggle to put food on the table.  With bills adding up and jobs scarce, many of them simply cannot.

That’s why there is Elijah’s Promise.  It provides around 400 free meals every day to those who need good nutrition for themselves and their children.

In addition, Elijah’s Promise has a culinary arts jobs training program which has enabled people who have little education & job skills to start new, stable lives as chefs.

It’s a fantastic organization.  Believe me, there are children who will follow the right path in life because the community stood together and helped them in their time of need.

Every year, Elijah’s Promise puts on a Turkey Trot in New Brunswick to raise funds for the Soup Kitchen. It costs Elijah’s Promise $2.50 to feed a person a meal.  That’s why I’m asking you for just $10.  It will feed dinner to a family of four – a family just like mine.  With your generosity, you’re not only feeding families; you’re giving them opportunities.

Your donation is tax deductible, and more so, is very much appreciated.  Thank you!
