Food Changes Lives – Pam

Pam Johnson

“Hope lives in my kitchen.”

Pam was a teenage mom with a dangerous addition to crack cocaine and heroin. She was on and off the streets and ate at the soup kitchen for years before she took the rocky route to recovery. She enrolled in the Promise Culinary School to pursue her love of cooking and start a new life. She’s been clean and sober and working as a chef for many years. She came back to Elijah’s Promise to take the job as Head Chef at the Soup Kitchen. Pam always goes the extra mile for others, because she feels blessed to be able to give back.
